that’s an old Willie song, or maybe it was someone else.
Yep, a lot of people did “Don’t Get Around Much Anymore,” but Willie Nelson’s version on Stardust was the first for me.
What did that have to do with anything? I don’t know, I’m asking the same question.
I used to write here quite a lot, if you’re bored long enough you may see that in some posts that go way back to 2004 or ’05. I was self-employed then after leaving the CBS affiliate in Memphis, Tennessee.
Burned out on breaking news, dog stories and missing my daughter’s t-ball games, I ran my own video production business for over two years. Then, jumped back into news with a job offer that would not only provide stability and health insurance, but would get us all to a better place. Nashville.
I’m not going to be around much. Not yet.
Aside from my full-time job as a reporter/video journalist for WKRN, I also produce two franchises for syndication. You may see some links around here for those.
I may start writing here again. I always seemed to learn something from blogging.
Like that Duke Ellington wrote the music for “Don’t Get Around Much Anymore” and that Bob Russell wrote the lyrics.
Thanks, now that’s stuck in my head.
