If you haven’t read the accounts on the Logan Young trial in the Alabama papers yet, do it. Find them all at www.al.com
Interesting to read about the next trial that is set to begin June 13th. That trial will take place in Tuscaloosa, I wonder if any Memphis tv stations plan to cover it.
They should, knowing Phillip Shanks and Tommy Gallion that trial will be even more interesting that the Logan Young trial. Gallion and Shanks are known for their dramatics in and out of the courtroom. Last spring Phillip Shanks reported that someone hit him in the back of the head as he walked into his office. “They got the Tennessee file” he told me. Shanks suggested the only people who might want that file were NCAA people or UT people. I don’t know that the break-in was ever solved or even if police verified that a theft had been made. Maybe it was, but I don’t remember it ever being reported in the Memphis news media.
Shanks is also preparing a second lawsuit on behalf of former bama coaches Ronnie Cottrell and Ivy Williams. That lawsuit will be against Coach Fulmer and others who allegedly made threats against the two coaches.
