The Tuckers have been dogless since Labor Day of 1994. That’s the day I sold Lewis, the crazy and dangerous cocker-spaniel. But the new house has a big enough yard and Delaney and Trey have been begging for a pooch.
So this afternoon, we picked up Abigail.
We got lucky at the Sumner County Humane Society. We didn’t figure we’d ever find a young pug, but immediately upon entering the small block building, this little mushed up face was staring at us from a private viewing room.
There was a Parvovirus scare with another dog in the shelter and that delayed the adoption proceedings for 10 days. But she’s fine and is now a happy member of the Tucker family.
What makes these dogs cute? She looks like a being from another planet, or maybe that’s just what I think after seeing Men In Black. Delaney has never been happier and Abigail seems content here too.
Congratulations on the new family member! Yeah, I’d say that grin on Abigail’s face says she’s one happy pug. 😉
Pugs are the best! We have a half pug/half dachshund that eats us out of house and home, but he’s an adorable brick of a dog. I’m glad that Abigail found a great family!
Jamey you are such a push over, congratulations on move to Nashville and the dog. It is Memphis’ loss. From a former, Mid-South Tribal member, David B.
I can’t decide who is cuter. Congratulations on choosing wisely. I still love reading your blog.
