New projects have me pouring over textbooks again. I thought I was fairly adequate when it came to computer stuff. I thought wrong.
I’m now a student of Macromedia Studio MX including Dreamweaver, Flash, Freehand, Fireworks and Contribute. I’m also trying to learn the blog software Movable Type. The media blog with www.mediavillage.com begins June 15th so I’ve got to learn MT pretty quick. The trouble is so much information headed into this older brain is endangering my sanity.
It’s amusing, I was never a good student when I was a student. In college I spent more time working at a local radio station, on campus jobs and a few entrepreneurial projects than I did studying for my finals. In fact, I may be one of only a few students to ever graduate with a bachelors degree who never turned in a term paper. Not in high school, not in college.
Somehow, I managed to avoid all classes that required a term paper and the two (English) classes that did, I talked my way out of them.
So anyway, I’m hitting the books.
The latest church project is complete and they used it this morning. I’ve spoken with the film producer in London who’s really excited about our documentary on the Battle of the Bulge (WWII not big bellies), and the relocation video project is moving right along. I also have 4 other small projects this week and 5 others to edit.
Sometime soon, we’ll take a week off for the beach.
