Things appear to be moving along on the documentary project on the Battle of the Bulge. The WWII veteran in Batesville is intent on seeing this through and I’m getting more and more excited just thinking about it.
Sometimes it just seems as though it’s meant to be.
First, I spoke to a film producer in London this morning who’s very interested in this project and believes it could be very marketable to some of the cable networks like A&E and The History Channel.
Secondly, while researching this morning I found a 60th Anniversary reunion of Battle of the Bulge survivors this fall in Pittsburgh. If we can get some of the financing put in place soon, I should be able to interview dozens of these old soldiers for their own personal stories. There’s also another reunion in New Orleans early next month.
Thirdly, I cannot find another documentary on the Battle of the Bulge since the early 1990s by PBS.
We’ve got to find the funding for it.
