I’ve come out of my reflective mood of the past several days and feel much better now. Several things happened recently that really made me reminisce about my good ole’ days. It got me down for most of this week but then today it all started to amuse me. I won’t go into it, but it all helped me come to grips with some things and caused me to count my blessings.
I touched base with a couple of my old friends and hope now that we’ve reconnected, we keep the lines of communication more open than we have the past 10 years or so. I hope so.
I’ve been wrapping up one project and hope to have it finished by this weekend. The documentary on the Battle of the Bulge has gotten the green light. Bearded Joe and I will be headed to a 60th reunion next month for veterans who survived that battle. I’m kind of a world war II buff and this project has intrigued me from the beginning. The movie producer in London is as excited as I am and feels it could be something the History Channel or at the very least, PBS would be interested in.
By the way, Peggy posted tonight that Jerry Tate suffered a heart attack this morning and is hospitalized. I hear he should be fine and out of the hospital soon. God speed Jerry. You’re one of the good guys. My prayers are with you.
