I Got the Job

January 14, 2005 by jameyt

I had planned to get up early this morning for a 6 am men’s Bible Study in Hernando, but since I didn’t hit the sack until around 1am, the study group was well on it’s way to the closing prayer when I finally opened my eyes.

I would have slept later, but Trey was in fine form at 6:44am, screaming and yelling that he wanted to play on the computer BEFORE getting ready for school.

It’s a rough start to a day when I have to walk out of my bedroom with a belt in my hand. Then, it got worse. The coffee maker wouldn’t start.

Now let me just say that I have coffee EVERY MORNING! No exceptions. No matter where I am, what I’m doing, I can’t get going without coffee.

Cameron ran to Starbucks to get me a cup. I left for Wal-Mart to get a new coffee maker. It’s brewing it’s first pot, so things are good again.

I talked with the recruiter this morning and accepted the job. I’ll start next friday after I finish a project and wrap up everything with Rain Dog Pictures.

One week from today, I’ll be an “employee” again. I’ve got mixed feelings.
