My 15 year old daughter got back from Paris tonight. She spent a week there, (that’s in France right?) with her grandmother, stepmom and aunt. As expected, she came down the terminal with an attitude.
I added an ad banner to the top of this blog. Hope it’s not too intrusive or distracting. I get a couple of pennies each time someone clicks on the banner, so click away.
Last week I answered an internet ad for a company in Memphis seeking professional business people. They invited me up for an interview but it wasn’t what I thought. The company actually trains people for their job search by helping them with their resumes and interviewing skills. What a waste. It took me 2 hours to get out of there and while I enjoyed talking to the recruiters, I’m not in any position now to pay several thousand dollars to help me find a job. I’m not even sure I want to find a job.
I’m still keeping my eyes open for what might be out there, but things are going well with my video business and with my ministry. I love the freedom and independence but the lack of security is something I’m having to get used to. Of course, I didn’t have any security in my old job either.
My non-compete expires in another couple of months and I’ll start looking again. For now, I’ve got to finish up the project with the church this week, then I have another to begin and I still have the Chamber project on the menu. I have enough to do.
