Trev Alberts got himself fired this weekend. For those who watch ESPN’s college football coverage, you’ll recognize his name, even if you’re unable to put a face with the name.
He was part of the Saturday studio crew but not the wildly popular Game Day program. He apparently didn’t like his role with ESPN and called in Saturday to say he wouldn’t be showing up for work. He won’t be going to work at all for a while as the network fired him later that day for breach of contract.
I also posted here a few weeks ago a “whatever happened to…Adrian Karsten”. Karsten was a popular sideline reporter for ESPN and probably the last sideline reporter who was not a pretty female. Karsten was charged with tax evasion a few weeks ago and was supposed to report for prison this week. Yesterday morning, police found him dead in his home. He was 45.
