Kerry’s Shot Heard ‘Round the World

November 1, 2006 by jameyt

This photo didn’t upload correctly. Click on it to see. Brittney from NIT found this a few minutes ago.

Didn’t take long for the troops to hear John Kerry’s comment about what happens when you don’t do well in school.

Fox ran with this nearly all day and I’m sure everybody else did too. The White House briefing was amusing. One reporting asking Tony Snow: “What do you say to those who question whether the White House is pushing this story to detract attention from the war?” To which Snow replied “hey, you guys are the ones asking me the questions about it”.

Kerry didn’t mean it. I don’t think he intended to say our troops are dumb. I believe he was trying to cut on President Bush. He just wasn’t good at it.

But why in the world did he go on tv yesterday all ticked off and blaming the Bush administration? Why won’t he say “I’m sorry”?

All the dude had to do was to go in front of the cameras and laugh it off, say something like “man I was just trying to criticize President Bush but I got so excited about my funny line, I flubbed it!”

We’ve all said something stupid. I’ve written stupid things on this blog that were taken the wrong way. All he had to do was say “I screwed up my one-liner”. Now, just a few days before the midterm election, he’s shot the party in the foot.
